NUTRITION of the Shaolin Warriors
The Shaolin eat often, so their stomach is always empty. All their food is 100% natural, vegan and eat using the monofagias (Mono Diet). Namely eat every time one type of food. Eg eat 2 apples in the morning, after 2 hours carrots for example, before noon a handful of rice, later beans and a little later something like zucchini or cabbage.
A former commando from Russia went and lived in Shaolin. The group had 18 people from different countries and lived in a room. He Says that every morning, before sunrise, they ran five kilometers up a mountain that has a statue of Buddha. They had as a coach a monk jogger that was 135 years old. Only his face showed that he was old, his body looked like a young mans. He says that when their coach came down from the mountain, they were climbing up.
While living there he says they felt their stomachs were empty, they did not have that common sense of heaviness everyone has when eating normal food, that's why they were in a constant state of feeling hungry.
It was hard to get used to this diet. But the workouts did not leave time for many thoughts and so he did not understand how fast his body got accustomed to a constant state of movement and lightness.
He says that before going to Shaolin, he did pushups with one hand 35 times with both hands 100 times. With their simple and vegetarian diet and workouts, after two months he did pushups with one hand 100 times with both hands 200 times.
Before going to the monastery, he saw a lot of videos for the Shaolin and he was telling himself that these must have been
edited or had special effects. In the monastery he saw with his own eyes that a man jumped from where he was standing a height of 3.4 meters .They say that they wake up at 5 in the morning, breakfast is from 7.30 to 8.00, lunch 11.30 to 12.00, at that time they eat the biggest quantity and dinner is at 5.30 to 6.00, sleep at 11 pm. If someone eats after 6, spank him with wooden stick and drive him out of the monastery.
